Chain Requirement

During the snow season, diamond-pattern snow chains are legally required to be carried on all alpine roads in Victoria.
To ensure your safety and vehicle compatibility, we do not accept online bookings for snow chains.

Why We Don’t Take Online Bookings for Snow Chains

For your safety and to ensure proper fit, we do not offer online reservations for snow chains. Here’s why:

✅ Vehicle Compatibility
Not all vehicles can safely use snow chains. Many newer cars—especially those with low clearance or certain drivetrain systems—may not have enough space around the wheels or may be unsuitable for chain use altogether.

✅ Safety First
To guarantee your safety, we need to check your vehicle in person. This includes reviewing your car’s manual and performing a physical test fit to ensure the chains won’t cause damage or create a hazard.

We understand this might be less convenient, but safety is our highest priority. If your vehicle is not compatible with snow chains, we strongly recommend not driving to the snow, as chains are legally required on Victorian alpine roads during the snow season.

Tip: Check your vehicle’s handbook or contact the manufacturer to confirm if snow chains are permitted. It’s best to know before you go.
